NCS Product Synopsis
Update: August 22, 2011
«©NCSX» Lightning struck (sorry) when Final Fantasy XIII shipped on the Japanese Playstation 3 late last year to eager fans around the globe. Sure, most stateside players couldn't read the text in the adventure but that didn't stop gamers from doling out a nifty US$100 for a chance to check out the latest Final Fantasy adventure. A treasure trove of merchandise has already been released to dovetail with the game but Square keeps the gravy train rolling with some more goodies this year.
The Lightning Strap was originally released in Japan in the first week of March 2010 but Square Enix is re-releasing the ornament once again in November 2011. The FFXIII Original Lightning Strap features a black metal plate with silver-colored trim that's jagged like a bolt of lightning. Get it? Lightning. The plate measures H50 x W29 x D2mm in dimension and a pair of Swarovski crystals are embedded on one end of the bolt. A second smaller plate measuring H35 x W5 x D1mm is also tethered to the retaining loop. In addition to serving as a strap, the metal lightning bolt may also be used as a pendant or an earring.

NCS will never know what Lightning of FFXIII really smells like because she's, um, not real. That little tidbit isn't stopping Square Enix from cooking up a bottle of perfume that might be what Lightning wears...
