Company Policies RETURN POLICY
Please contact NCS for a return authorization number before sending any product(s) back. NCS cannot accept any returns without this number. You may return a software item in its original and unopened condition for a refund or credit within 15 days of receiving the product. Hardware items that have been used may not be returned for a refund. NCS will use our discretion to accept and exchange any hardware whose packaging has been opened. We are not a rental outfit for trial use of new hardware and accessories - please do your research and ask us questions before purchasing. Hardware defects must be reported within 5 days of receiving the item so that we can help you exchange the item in question. Shipping charges can only be refunded if the return is due to our error. All returns must be accompanied by the packing slip. After a return has been received, it will take 1 day to process. If using a credit card, refunds will be credited to your account within 24 hours. If paying by check or money order, a refund check will be mailed to you. We suggest using UPS or insured Parcel Post for your protection.
We do not sell, trade, or rent customer information to other companies. There is enough spam and cold calling in the world and we refuse to contribute to it. NCS maintains strict security policies for protecting the privacy of our customers. We may use aggregate statistics about our customers, sales, traffic patterns, and related site information for our own corporate purposes, but these statistics will not include any personally identifying information. Frequently Asked Questions I just placed an order. When does it ship? All orders, placed online or phoned in, for in-stock items are shipped on the same day if submitted before 05:00PM EST on weekdays. NCS ships from New York City. Am I notified when my order has been shipped? Yes, if you chose a UPS shipping option, the UPS software automatically generates a tracking email at the end of each business day and sends it to your email address. If you use a Hotmail or Yahoo email account, please check your SPAM, TRASH, or DELETED folder if you don't see the shipment notification by the end of the business day. Just placed an on-line pre-order, when will I be charged? Credit card pre-orders submitted on-line are not processed or charged until NCS stocks the product(s) and prepares the pre-order for shipping to our customer. Please note that if you choose the Paypal Express option, Paypal will automatically process the transaction upon checkout. I'm an international player. Can I buy from NCS? Certainly. NCS ships 30% of our daily outbound freight to customers outside of the USA. The bulk of our foreign customers hail from Europe but we ship to all of Asia, New Zealand, and Australia. We've never shipped a game to Antartica yet but maybe one day we'll reach that feat. What is the difference between Priority Mail International and Express Mail International? Priority Mail International generally takes between 5-10 days to arrive and is an economical service that is trackable. Express Mail generally arrives to our customers between 3-5 days and is also a trackable service on http://www.usps.gov/. During the holiday season, please make allowances for your local post office to deliver your order since we've found that many postal services around the world are ill-equipped to handle the Christmas shipping volume. Are NCS' products all new? Yes, we sell new, sealed software and hardware items for all consoles and portable gaming machines listed on this shop you are currently on, our main online shop as well as our old online shop (which will be phased out in the next few months). Neo Geo MVS cartridges and JAMMA boards are a special situation which we dabble in. Games that are marked [Preowned] are preowned and are listed in a separate section on our old online shop. There is no used product listed on either of our new shopping sites.
Why does NCS currently have a total of three shopping sites? [as of March 22, 2008] Our main shopping site will always be www.ncsxshop.com where most of our traffic is directed from www.ncsx.com and our blogs. However, to accept preorders, we need a separate shop since our main shop processes transactions automatically for security purposes. We are currently only listing new preorders on www.shopncsx.com and the old shop which we started in 1999 will be phased out in the next few months. We will still keep it up so customers can check their order histories but it will eventually be an obsolete site with no new content.
