NCS Product Synopsis «©NCSX» When the city of Angels falls from grace, beset by the criminal element, an ex-cop vigilante named Nick Wilson takes to the streets to clear the way for honest, hard-working folk. Drive your ride into the battle and punch, smack and shoot through gangs of goons to release L.A. from their sweaty, ripe-smelling grasp. Along the way, Nick also works to solve the murder of his father.
Christopher Walken gives a rousing performance as the voice actor for the introductory story - all the nuances and inflections of the famous Walken speech affect are there. Upon starting the game, a practice game at a shooting range gives some pointers on shooting with both barrels blazing. Rap music (some of it uncensored) plays throughout the game which adds some street flavor to the adventure.
The game is fairly ridiculous at times. For example, there's one point where a carjacker attempts to take over a cab. You're then given the mission of capturing the thug who runs up and down the street like a headless chicken without any semblance of intelligence. To arrest him, one must press "L-Thumbstick + B." Then there's the wreckage that can be done to your car by other vehicles - after a while, it'll roll about 1 mph down the street which of course, is great for capturing villains. At one point in the early part of the game, Nick lodges a chopstick in a Chinese gangster's ear which then leads to a fight inside a restaurant. The two proceed to level the place and Nick will do a "Flying Monkey Kick" at one point if the right buttons are hit.
Flying Monkey Kick.
