NCS Product Synopsis
Update: June 29, 2004
«©NCSX» Better known as Gigantor stateside, the big bot Tetsujin 28go (literally, Iron Man 28) becomes lead role in developer Sandlot's latest robot control game. Fans of one of our better selling "mech" games of yore - Remote Control Dandy - will both recognize Sandlot's handiwork and the general control scheme in their latest endeavor. Players take on the role of boy wonder Shotaro Kaneda who wields a 3-button twin stick which commands the mighty Tetsujin through remote control. Like a dynamic duo of sorts, Shotaro and Tetsujin take on the criminal element, rogue versions of Tetsujin (#26 and 27) created by Professor Haneda, and the alien Magmans who battle with their own big robots named Magma X and Gold Wolf.
Tetsujin 28go is gifted with incredible strength as well as rocket-powered flight but has no autonomy. Tetsujin is but a vessel which is controlled entirely by whomever wields the control box. The control scheme is fairly easy to learn and players will soon be running along as Shotaro and controlling Tetsujin on the fly with ease. Through the use of the Dual Shock controller, Tetsujin punches, kicks, throws, runs, and lifts objects (entire buildings are not exempt) with ease. The scenery in Tetsujin reflects back to 1950s Japan with homely towns, clean-looking industrial cities, and undeveloped tracts about to burst into the modern era. All this quaint scenery, of course, may be rendered into rubble during a raucous Tetsujin battle.
