«©NCSX» Simian rolling antics are a lot like Pac-Man rolling antics. Borrowing the play mechanics from Pac 'n Roll, players move the indomitable AiAi by sliding the stylus on a representation of AiAi encased in a monkey ball on the lower Nintendo DS screen while the top screen shows all of the fast-paced action. To stop on a dime, tap the center of the ball and AiAi halts and waits for your next bout of rolling motion.
Over 100 levels are featured in the game but we noticed a few that were suspiciously familiar. Sega rehashes some levels in the game but thankfully, there are many new and innovative levels to discover as well. As with other Super Monkey Ball games, six mini-games may be enjoyed including one where the monkeys race each other on a track and another where air hockey takes center stage.
