«©NCSX» During the Three Kingdoms period of Chinese history (220 A.D to 280 A.D.), the armies of Shu, Wu, and Wei were on the march. China was split into three major partitions with Wei to the north, Shu to the southwest and Wu in control of the southeast. Countless battles and skirmishes between the three kingdoms erupted across the land and soldiers were needed to wage war. Lots of soldiers went to war to support generals and their tactics.

 

In Koei's Shin Sangoku Musou Online Kamishou Ranbu, players become one such soldier who fights for one of the three Kingdoms. After registering and setting up an account, a unique hero is created from an assortment of body parts. Knight the character with a name and you'll get to choose a city to start in. The early part of the game may be spent exploring the town but it's the Musou fighting action that inevitably kicks off where your soldier and cohorts attack opposing forces on 3D battlefields. Playing SSM Online does not incur any monthly fees but please note that in order to purchase items in the game, you'll have to pay for "Musou Coins" which serve as the coin of the realm.
