«©NCSX» When Rockman was unleashed upon the Japanese gaming public 15 years ago, Famicom cartridges measured a measly 1 or 2 megabits. Back in those primitive times, games such as Rockman squeezed every bit of performance from that limited amount of memory. Things were so bad that a password system or battery back-up were not even in consideration and players intent on finishing the game had to do so in one sitting. That, or leave the Famicom on overnight and continue the session the next morning.
Fast forward to the present and the re-release of Rockman now features a convenient memory card saving system. That's not all folks since Capcom has also thrown in character profiles, artwork and even Dual Shock support to bring home the fact that it's the year 2003 and Capcom would be razzed if they didn't include such modern conveniences. An added bonus is a PocketStation game where a player raises a Rockman or a robot and engages in mini-games during the growth process.
