Reservations for the Metal Slug Neo Geo Mechanical Kit Collection gashapon toys manufactured by Takara Tomy should begin shipping by Postal Service this afternoon but please note that UPS isn't picking up Ground packages today due to the Christmas holiday. The toys feature a Super Vehicle or conveyance toy, a protagonist figure, and a miniature Neo Geo cartridge as follows:
» Metal Slug: Marco Rossi figure, Super Vehicle 001 toy, and a Metal Slug mini cartridge
» Metal Slug 2: Tarma Roving figure, Super Vehicle 002 toy, and a Metal Slug 2 mini cartridge
» Metal Slug X: Eri Kasamoto figure, Metal Slug Harrier VTOL jet toy, and a Metal Slug X mini cartridge
» Metal Slug 3: Fiolina Germi figure, Metal Slug Camel toy, and a Metal Slug 3 mini cartridge
» NEO GEO: AES console with one joystick and memory card
The mini cartridges may be inserted into the slot on top of the AES console. The toys are made of monochrome plastic and require some simple assembly to plug the vehicles and figures together. New ordersare welcome to ship on Wednesday of this week.

A fifth secret gashapon is mentioned in the preorder solicitation. NCS will gather up all five gashapon toys and supply them in a complete set. Preorders are welcome to ship in December 2012.

these are great little kits that i first became aware of from yakumo's retro core youtube series so i knew to expect that they were not colored but they are sculped well with fine details and you could always paint them if you wish. your paying basically what you would if you got them out of a gachapon machine but you get the entire set with out blowing your money doubles trying to complete your set.

While they are little assembly kits they are not actually painted. The figures are molded in a fleshy colored plastic and the slugs are all grey. The bonus item is a little miniature neo geo console to plug the carts into.
