«©NCSX» Laharl and then Rosalinde were the heroes in the first two Disgaea games and their stories have reached a satisfactory conclusion. Disgaea 3 follows the story of a demon-lad named Mao who attends the Maritsu Evil Academy. Mao's father is an Overlord and as is the case with all ambitious demon youngsters, the son seeks to supplant the father in a bid to take the title of Overlord for himself. Egging Mao on is an elderly advisor named Jiiya who provides guidance and support. Mao's foil in the game is a girl named Raspberry who hopes to dissuade the lil' demon's machinations and keep the status quo as is.

Makai Senki Disgaea 3 plays much like the earlier turn-based Disgaea games where movement and action are controlled from a simple menu. The attacks are much more dynamic however with acrobatic strikes, towering cooperative blows, and special effects that light up the screen for a bounty of eye candy that S-RPG fans will appreciate. Note: Disgaea 3 supports 480p, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p video output settings.
