NCS Product Synopsis
November 15, 2010
«©NCSX» Scribblenauts debuted stateside on September 15, 2009 to mostly positive pro reviews. In the game, players help the protagonist Maxwell gather a prize called Starite by solving puzzles. However, instead of forcing Maxwell to perform menial labor, players tap in a word which might help Maxwell achieve his goal. For example, in one stage, the Starite is on top of a tree. If the word "lumberjack" is tapped into the virtual keypad, a bearded lumberjack flies onscreen and chops the tree down so Maxwell gains the Starite.
The Japanese version of Scribblenauts is being released next year and the game features 20,000 words in both English and Japanese that may be used. Maxwell travels through ten worlds where 220 challenges await completion.
