NCS Product Synopsis
Update: December 11, 2003
«©NCSX» A strange magnetic meteor is causing all manner of havoc on the the neurological processes of Earth's kaiju (monsters) and has sent them off on a rampage. Players are charged with choosing a monster from a few marquee names in order to put down the disturbances and beat the rampaging monsters merciless. Battles are fought on an isometric cityscape where every stomp raises fire from the city and wreaks havoc.
Powerups may also be roused as one wanders throughout the metropolis for energy and attack power. Every building is fair game - those that are low to the ground blow up when trodden upon and skyscrapers may be pummeled and then picked up and used as an offensive projectile. Little vehicles roam across the city and these may also be destroyed by stepping over them.
For our sample game this morning, we chose Rodan and watched as it guarded, jumped, pecked and kicked like a kung-fu hero. Rodan may also perform a thrust move where it rockets across the screen like a missile or a dive attack which is executed by pressing jump and then attack. Old schoolers may find the game similar in style and execution to the Neo Geo King of Monsters game.
Three game modes are available
Story Mode - Unravel the mystery Behind Magnetic Meteor X and fight as Godzilla, King Ghidorah, Rodan, MechaGodzilla, Mothra, or
Megalon.
Versus Mode - Battle with up to four friends on a single cartridge.
Custom Mode - Set up a Single Player Battle against the COM
