«©NCSX» In the movie Groundhog Day, Bill Murray's character got to relive February 02 over and over again, fixing whatever mistakes he made the "previous" day. He also honed his technique with Andie's character in the movie, charming her by reciting French and innately knowing her favorite foods. Dream of Pandora is something like that. For a week spanning from August 25 to 31, your male protagonist and a group of five girls relive the same week, finding new wrinkles and routes in each "new" day to experience. Hone your technique by finding out each girls secrets.
A very catchy and ebullient song starts the game off and the player finds himself staring at a cicada as it hugs a tree. The sound of insects fill the air and the dreamy reverie is soon broken by a soccer ball and a green-haired girl...followed by a sprightly pink-haired whippersnapper who effuses vapidness... Interact (well, really just press buttons in the beginning) with the girls and involve yourself in their little stories and dramas.
The presentation in the game is very dynamic, very loud and lends itself very well to the format of an interactive adventure. There are no overly long storyline foundations in the beginning and the plot unravels by way of character interaction while energetic marching music plays in the background. It's all very well done. We're also betting that this game is one of the few that shows a cute girl catching a karate chop atop her forehead... Dream of Pandora would make a great game for those learning Japanese and just dipping their toes in the romance interaction gaming arena.
The Dreamcast Collection (DreKore) version of Dream of Pandora is a straight re-release of the original game and there are no differences other than the orange/white Dreamcast Collection sticker on the front wrapper.
This game is also known as Pandora no Yume.
