«©NCSX»Stammer the word, "pachi-slot" stateside and you'll likely be met with blank stares. Repeating the word won't help either because it's not commonly used in the American vernacular. Travel to Japan however and pachi-slot is love. Everyone knows what it is and pretty much everyone has played one form of it or another. The "slot" portion of the word refers to a slot machine whilst the "pachi" portion is a reference to the pachinko elements found in the game. Put them together and you have the building block of an industry which brings in more revenue than the entire global casino gaming industry... combined.
Gekiatsu!! Pachi Game Tamashi: CR Evangelion is a pachi-slot game. In addition to the core pachi-slot elements, the entire game is filled with Evangelion videos, animations, sound effects, music, and protagonists from Gainax's popular franchise. Pachi-slot action shouldn't be so dramatic and striking but add Evangelion to the mix and it is.
Early preorders shipped with a bonus pack of Evangelion trading cards which are packaged in a foil wrapper and one of three Evangelion straps. Unfortunately, it is no longer available for new orders.
