NCS Product Synopsis
Update: June 25, 2010
«©NCSX» Casio originally released the Batman G-Shock last year (July 22, 2009) and sales didn't meet expectations. Maybe the retro yellow face of the LCD watch wasn't all that appealing to the Batman-loving public. Apparently, even the caption below the LCD screen didn't grab buyers. The caption reads, "From Bruce Wayne's Dark Murderous Night of Despair Was Born a New Hope for Gotham City. The Batman!" The total production run of the Batman G-Shock was limited to a mere 1000 sets but only ~60% has sold through thus far. Japanese distributors appear to be antsy and they're discounting the price from the original JPY16800 to JPY11800 or US$139.90 from NCS.
The Batman G-Shock is bundled with two silver-colored Batmobile Choro-Q toys - a variant in normal driving mode and a second version with fully raised body armor. The Batmobiles are exclusive to the Batman G-Shock bundle and aren't available in any other sales capacity.
