«©NCSX» Two orphans named Feld and Wiese have paid their dues and are about to graduate from alchemy school when an earthquake hits and levels the town temple. Rushing back to the castle to report the destruction, they soon discover that half of the kingdom of Eden has been destroyed. With the kingdom suddenly in need of skilled alchemists and explorers, Feld is sent on a mission in the land of Velkhide while Wiese stays in the kingdom and helps rebuild with her mastery of alchemy.
Early in his travels, Feld meets up with a warrior gal named Noin and the two venture forth together. Back home, Wiese wields her alchemy skills and befriends a young girl named Iris who provides foil to Wiese's work and interactions. The Eternal Mana 2 game is played in alternating scenarios where players experience Feld's explorations and battles abroad and Wiese's alchemy work in the Kingdom where she creates new items that will help the recovery process. When Wiese requires an ingredient or item to help her alchemical creations, Feld will be charged with the discovery of the needed item. Conversely, when Feld needs to upgrade a weapon or have Wiese create an entirely new item, he'll go to her for the necessary help.
