Product Synopsis
Originally released in 1992, Square Enix re-releases the Dragon Quest Slime Race board game for a new generation of board game players to enjoy.
Players bet on five slime racers who move around the track with different speeds depending on the cards pulled which determine move count. Players who hit the first and second places in the 70-position racetrack get the prize money and those who reaches 50 points wins!
The bettor (player) pulls a card and moves the slime the alloted spaces, so it is more exciting than a horse race where he is simply a viewer. The number of cards in each hand for the players is always seven. By using the cards strategically, it is possible to put out an advantageous card in a timely manner or hold an adverse card.
There are a variety of cards, including cards that advance slimes of specific colors and cards that advance slimes of specific ranks. The card which 2nd place suddenly pops out to 1 place of 1st place. There are several elements that can be reversed, such as a card that suddenly advances up to 35 steps, and the race is boosted.
Preorders are welcome to ship in late July 2019. Please note this item is a Japanese product with Japanese instructions but it is reasonably easy to figure out.
