NCS Product Synopsis
Update: May 1, 2006
«©NCSX» Virtual farmers who have feasted on helpings of Harvest Moon have yet another adventure to discover and potentially enjoy. Publisher MMV updates the popular franchise with a new game which features an exploration component in addition to the stay-at-home-and-farm theme of earlier games. Innocent Life takes place on an island with a volcano situated at its center - apparently, volcanic ash is good for crops. As a farmer, the player plants crops, practices animal husbandry, and engages in all of the other activities that made the earlier games so enjoyable. Once the crops are started, Innocent Life offers the ability to explore the island and engage in discovery as well as character interaction.
Farming is more versatile in Innocent Life - in addition to neat rows of vegetables that are grown in traditional soil, sun, and water, gamers may also bring the crops indoors for some hydroponic farming where the seedlings grow in row after row of neatly arranged planter boxes. Although the island appears tropical with lush vegetation, the player will experience the four seasons. In autumn, the colors of the leaves on the trees turn brown, red, and amber as farmers prepare for the winter. During the winter time, crops may still be grown indoors and the livestock may also be brought indoors in a modernized barn. Snow will cover the land and trees however but a hole may be cut in the ice over the lake for some fishing. The days follow the natural rhythm of the sun as the hours turn morning into night.
The full name is Innocent Life: Shin Bokujou Monogatari
