«©NCSX» The ancient game of "GO" or "Igo" can be traced to China from where it spread to Japan, Korea, and other countries. Simple in theory but complex in practice, GO can be played on grid-laced boards of varying sizes (9x9, 13x13, or 19x19) and the pieces are black and white discs that are placed on the intersections on each grid-laced board.
Although there are hundreds if not thousands of GO video games in the wild from publishers as well as amateur programmers, Japanese software house Silver Star is releasing a new GO game which features what they're calling the "world's best" game engine. That sounds like a serious statement and we're going to have to give the game a once-over when it's released so we can test its merits.
In addition to the GO game, Silver Star is also including a GO Beginner's Guide which teaches players the basics of the game and various strategies. A database of 3000 questions related to the game of GO are also included to test your knowledge.
