NCS Product Synopsis
Update: January 25, 2007
«©NCSX» Targeted at girl gamers, the second Prince of Tennis Doki Doki Survival game in as many months moves from the mountain setting in the first game to the seashore. At the outset, the heroine is aboard a ship with 40 Prince of Tennis characters. The first scene takes place in the dining room where some of the boys introduce themselves but everyone eventually retires to their rooms. Sometime in the night, a massive storm causes a little bit of panic but the crew eventually guides the ship onto land and the characters regain their footing.
Although the game features 40 tennis players, only 20 of the boys are fair game for love and romance. The scenario length for each character is lengthier than in the original DokiDoki game so there's more time to enjoy special moments and view magical screenshots. Or something to that effect. The aim of the game is procuring a love confession from one of the boys and then watching the happy ending. To add to the atmosphere of being inside the world of Tennis no Oji-sama, the voice actors from the animation series were hired to provide the copious amounts of speech in the game. Everyone talks except for the heroine who has dialogue but her voice is silent to maintain the illusion of you being her... even though she has blue hair, gray eyes, and a lime-green smock.

NEW GAME
Enter your name in Katakana or English and then enter your birth date. Approve your selection and the game starts off on a cruise ship. Inside the dining hall, you're greeted by a deep-voiced guy in a grey suit and purple handkerchief in his suit breast pocket. The various POT boys appear in front of you saying various things. After some introductions, someone snaps their fingers and the murmur in the background disappears. The scene shows a guy on stage with a spotlight on him and he speaks into a mic to welcome the crowd. He lifts up a glass and bellows, "Kanpai!" After his toast, the scene returns to normal and more boys from different teams come up to greet you.

» All of the boy dialogue in the game is spoken and the boys wear their school uniforms with logos and colors. Your character's voice is not spoken however when she appears on screen with the characters side by side to preserve the illusion of you being there... even though the girl looks nothing like you. She sports blue-hair, fair skin, and big grey eyes. She also wears a lime green jacket and blinks her eyes a lot.
» Later in the command room, a slouchy kind of guy talks to the ship's captain followed by a rough-looking woman with lines on her face. Later that night, a roiling sea and heavy rain buffet the ship. Inside, the heroine and her female friend commiserate because of the poor conditions outside. A big crash sounds off in the distance and the lights go out temporarily. The two are standing in a room and hear rough noises from the outside as the storm intensifies. The room shakes and the lights go out again. The door bursts open and a boy in brown hair and a red vest bursts in and offers his hand. Another boy exclaims from behind and they talk.
» Scene shift - scrolling text explains the ship's predicament against a static background of black seas, waves, and rain. The date is July 28 as the game starts and seagulls are heard in the distance. The player wakes up and is greeted by the boy who gave the toast and her friend. Despite the overnight trouble, the passengers have all made it to land and are standing on a beach while waves crash gently in the background.
» After a while, the cast goes exploring and find a large wood cabin. Some of the boys led by Kunimitsu Tezuka enter the cabin and discover it deserted. They commiserate inside to plan their next course of action. They eventually enter the camp area where cabins and facilities are spread through a few acres of land.
» The world map shows an overhead view of the local area and players may select a boy from a list to go and visit in a locale and interact. After interacting with a guy, a heart appears if he likes you. There are six main locations on the map. As you select each one, little faces of the boys at that location will appear. Up to five boys may be at a location at the same time and if you select that location, you can further choose which boy to meet up with. Its up to you to try to hook up with one of them while you're on the island.
» The game time alternates between day and night. When night falls, the buildings are shown on the map with light pouring from the windows. When meeting a boy for some one-on-one time, a dream-like screen sequence appears which seems cheesy. After the first day and a chat with friend Sakuno Ryuzaki, you end up in your room and are given the chance to save your progress to memory card. The other options are:
