«©NCSX» In the fifteen years after the events of Popolocrois 2, Pietoro and Narcia profess their love for each other and spawn a son, Pinon. As King and Queen of Popolocrois, the two doting parents have not only given Pinon life and title but the power of dragon and fairy. Pietoro's a half-dragon and Narcia's a forest witch which gives Pinon mighty inner ability.
One day, Pinon does some exploration and uncovers a threat to the kingdom. With poppy getting up in years, the young prince takes up the sword, meets new friends, and ventures forth for the crown. Popolocrois 3 is the fourth game in the series - Poporogue was a sort of side story which doesn't factor into the main storyline. Moving away from the 2-D found in previous volumes, PS3 jumps to 3-D worlds and cel-shaded animation. The results are highly impressive. Confession time: We are big fans of the Popolocrois series. It's well done, well scripted and it's a shame that most North Americans won't ever experience the Popolocrois games. The PS2 version captures the simple spirit, innocence and draw of the PS1 games in a new charming way.
The special limited edition of Popolocrois 3 includes a plush toy of Pinon's pet, a cloth map, and 5 mini-character standees which are all boxed in a quaint flip-top box.
Region Lock-out
Please note Japanese Playstation 2 games will not boot on USA or European PS2 consoles due to the inherent region-lockout on Playstation 2 game discs.
