«©NCSX» In July 2008, nations use magnetic weapons... probably based on Tesla's work or scalar technology, to start a world war with cataclysmic consequences. The continents sink into the oceans like Atlantis did and survivors attempt to escape the rampaging planet on spaceships. Lacking sufficient thrust, the gravity of terra firma reels the ships back in and many crash into the oceans. Some make it back intact and a sliver of humanity clings to survival in the aftermath.

   One of the ships crashes into an island and the settlers start anew on the island. The story in Mirai Shounen Conan takes place 2 decades after the 3rd World War. Conan is born on the island but after a while it is only he and grandpa left. Saddened that the two might be the only people left in the world, Conan is overjoyed when a young girl named Lana reaches their little sanctuary. Happiness turns to dread when pursuers from Industria arrive to take Lana back. She alone is able to find her grandpa Dr Lao who is capable of rediscovering the technology for Solar Energy. With Lana kidnapped and grandpa dying during the rough housing, Conan embarks on a 3D action adventure to rescue her and beat the forces of Industria back with his awesome strength and uncommon abilities. D3P used over 30 minutes of animation footage from the original series to give homage to the source material.
