NCS Product Synopsis Update: November 6, 2003 «©NCSX» When intrepid reporter Takashi Kagetani receives a book of old press clippings and an assignment to update a story on an entire family that was slaughtered, he visits the old house with a compadre to do an article for his newspaper. The murders were never solved and the murderer never caught so Takashi's curiosity impels him to play the part of hero. Before Tak and friend can do any real investigation at the house however, a strange shimmering cloud envelopes his friend and Takashi watches as she disappears. Soon, he is also behind shimmering wriggly lines and sent back in time to the year 1929 where he gets a chance to possibly prevent the murders before they even happen. His friend has become a specter of sorts and she implores Takashi to find a way to bring her (and him) back to their own day. Along with the time shift, Takashi soon realizes that he now has the power to tap into the minds of the people he encounters and view the history and events that have transpired around them. The newfound gift should allow him to handle his predicament somewhat better...
Capcom hired Japanese J-Pop drummer for Tokio and actor Masahiro Matsuoka to play the part of the reporter in Glass no Bara. We haven't seen much of his work but we remember him from the Psychometrer eiji (Simply Psychic) television series about a reluctant hero named Asuma Eiji. Asuma helps a detective solve crimes through his ability to view a person's past by mere touch. Takashi's new game role then, is fitting...
