«©NCSX» Malicious viruses colored red, blue, yellow, etc are on the loose and Dr Mario prescribes colored pills to obliterate the contagion. The plumber-cum-physician stands on the right side of the screen and throws out pills which the player must rotate and pile on top of the virus beasties. Match pills with like-colored viruses in rows of four to fade them from the screen. The first level only contains four viruses but later levels become fairly populated with the little buggers. On the lower-left portion of the screen, depictions of the viruses are shown and every time a pill kills one, it'll fall to the ground, shake its spindly legs in a death dance, and disappear from the screen.
