NCS Product Synopsis
Update: February 14, 2002 «©NCSX» "Dual Hearts" follows an unlikely relationship between a human treasure hunter named Rumble and a strange creature called a baku. Baku have the ability to enter the dreams of others. Rumble recognizes this as a valuable asset to his search for a legendary relic called the dream stone. Rumble also realizes that the only way to obtain the dream stone is by entering an alternate reality called Dreamworld, and the only way he can do that is through the baku. Unbeknownst to Rumble, the dream-traveling creature has an agenda of its own and a symbiotic relationship is born.
The pair begins hijacking the dreams of others in search of keys that can unlock doors in an ancient structure called the dream temple. Rumble wants to enter the dream temple to find the Dream Stone while the baku hopes to find keys it lost and return them to its angry queen. Rumble has the ability to equip a weapon in each hand. The more he uses a weapon, the more powerful it becomes. As weapons level up they also become capable of simple combinations. The weapon in each hand is mapped to a button on the face of the Dual Shock 2 for easy access, and holding down the attack button will cause the weapon to charge up and be capable of more devastation. Rumble uses spears, swords, remote bombs, and more off-the-wall weapons such as playing cards that can absorb energy and then be thrown. The combat system used in "Dual Hearts," which is the same lock-on system made popular by the "Zelda" games for the Nintendo 64, is accurate and reliable.
