NCS Product Synopsis
Update: June 24, 2004
«©NCSX» Go on location with three auburn-haired gravure models named Nano, Riho, and Rena and take snapshots as each gal frolics, points, bends over, and poses in swimsuits and cosplay clothing. During a photo shoot, players compete against other amateur photographers who would jostle you out for the best shots and moments. Call to the gal or motion to make her turn your way and time your snapshot to take advantage of the pose or the right moment for photographic magic. When taking photos, the screen blinks down like a camera shutter to give the impression of actually taking a shot and to give shooters an idea of how to time each photo.
Scoring great shots grants points to the photographer which in turn may be reinvested in better lenses, film and other equipment for higher quality shots. Although its not an exact science in Camera Kozo, a camera fitted with a better lens generates higher quality photos although we haven't experienced any blurred photos in the game thus far. When a model is moving however, Camera Kozo gives more points to fast reaction time than high-powered equipment based on our test run this morning. As with any photo game worth its salt, players may capture precious moments for posterity and save shots to a standard PS2 memory card.
The animated bosom in video games started popping up in the Saturn version of Dead or Alive and it's been accentuated, to say the least, in recent games from D3 Publisher and other purveyors. However, the amount of boob-jiggling action is overdone in Camera Kozo where every move, action and maneuver sends the twins roaming around in desperate search of inertia. D3P should probably patent the physics model used for the swinging motion seen in the game should other publishers decide the phenomenon is the next big thing in video gaming.
In Japanese, Camera Kozo translates to Camera Boy and is often shortened to cameko. The word is given to fanatics who attend cosplay conventions or other cosplay venues and take photos of the various cosplayers for their collections and to trade amongst themselves...
