«©NCSX» Through the ages, hunters have sought to destroy vampires with the usual sure-fire killers. Garlic, a stake through the heart, holy water and the ever-lovin' warmth of sunlight. Konami takes the ideal vampire killing element and makes it a requirement in order to battle undead in Bokura no Taiyo.

   Equipped with a solar photo-detector, the Boktai cartridge samples the environment for sunlight and collects energy which powers your weapon known as the Gun de Sol. The photo-detector also serves to dim the environment in the game as the evening hours arrive to mimic the sunset. While exploring the depths of dungeons, sunlight is a precious resource and players will have to employ guile, stealth and careful allocation of the Gun de Sol to battle successfully through the dank levels.
